Please review the following information regarding personal training at The Summit.
  • Packages expire twelve (12) months from date purchased and are non-refundable.
  • Pay at the Front Desk and have the session(s) put under the client's name.
  • You must check in at the front desk and let them know your trainer's name. 
  • You will receive a session slip to give to the trainer every session.  
CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations must occur 24 hours in advance or you will be charged for that session.  Please call your trainer directly with schedule conflicts.  If you are unable to reach your trainer, call the Front Desk at 751-4100.

Dana Dobson

Certification: The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) - Personal Trainer and has earned her Certificate of Applied Science in personal training. She is also a spinning and group exercise instructor.
Dana's goal is to inspire others to achieve their own wellness goals and believes that improved fitness will increase all around self confidence and well being.

 

Val Goss

Certifications: BS Exercise Science, ACE Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor - Teaches Group Cycling, Pilates, and PiYo

Valerie has a background in exercise science and has been a personal trainer for over 17 years. With a passion for helping you realize your potential, she will guide you in setting realistic goals and to view obstacles as opportunities to learn and grow.  She strives to challenge you to go beyond what you would do alone, as well as inspire you to make your happiness and health your number one priority.
 

John Hoag

Certified personal trainer by The American Council on Exercise and former physical training leader U.S. Marine Corps.  Strengths are functional fitness, body composition management, program design, and plateau busting.  I believe in “Know thyself and seek self-improvement” in all areas of life.   My goal is for people to fall in love with fitness and to educate in the science of exercise as much as possible.

Stu Levitt

Stu has a Doctorate in Applied Physiology and has years of experience training all types of individuals: from older folks to elite athletes.  He has a doctorate in exercise science and prepares personal trainers for certification and their future careers. He looks forward to bringing his knowledge to you and helping you achieve your own fitness and health goals.




 

Phil Moore

Phil has been working within health, fitness & recreation since 2001 after graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with emphasis on Youth Sports and Recreation and attending a Semester in the Rockies at the National Outdoor Leadership School.  He worked in Youth programs leading and teaching health, fitness, personal wellness, and recreation for 14 years. He has worked in the fitness and performance coaching realm here at The Summit since 2010, and has a passion for helping individuals define, work toward, and reach their personal goals. Phil comes from and extensive background of training and competing as a USA Amateur and Professional Boxer.  He founded and coached the Flathead Boxing club for 8 years as a USA Boxing Certified Coach.  Phil is an ACSM certified Personal Trainer.

Angela Novak

Certifications: ACSM Personal Trainer, AFFA Group EX, AEA Aqua Ex, The Arthritis Foundation Land, Aqua and Walk With Ease, Lamond Cycling Instructor, Zumba licenses - Zumba 1 & 2, Aqua, Gold & Pro Skills.
I like to motivate, inspire & encourage people. I use the latest in fitness science to help my clients stay in top condition and be the best they can. In turn, they will have the energy to do more of what they want. Live, Love & Laugh!

With a background in exercise science, I have been fortunate spending all of my career in a hospital-based wellness center where it has been my passion to engage people in activity to overcome disease, enable healing, or simply to be strong and fit for life. I have enjoyed work in cardiac, pulmonary, cancer, eating disorder and athletic injury rehabilitation as well as personal training. Montana is a very special place to live, work and play. Helping people discover and remember why they want to be Well is a rewarding and energizing process to be a part of. Hearing what delights, frustrates, excites and even puzzles us all about what it means to eat well, move more, stress less and have brighter health is a privilege. Being creative together to discover new ways of supporting real and lasting change is my favorite aspect of coaching. We know that exercise and good nutrition will afford us better health but the challenges are the reason for an ally.

Lynn Ritzdorf

Philosophy: It doesn't have to be fun to be fun. A good workout can challenge you and still leave you smiling.  There are countless opportunities to get healthier and stronger. I love to help people discover what they can do.
Experience: I have run races ranging from 5K to 100K and competed in sprint distance triathlons. I swam competitively for ten years and coached high school swimming for two years. I was a Parisi Speed School Certified Instructor, have taught aquatic exercise classes, swimming lessons, and have TRX training.    
Certifications: American Council on Excercise Certified Personal Trainer since 2001. LeMond Group Cycling Instructor since 2008. American Council on Exercise Group Fitness Instructor Certified since 2016

Krista Rufenach

I have been working in the fitness industry for over 12 years.  I have a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Resource Management and a minor in Athletic Training. I am a Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor and Wellness Coach.  I have a passion for helping clients of all ages and abilities reach their goals and see their potential above and beyond where they thought they could go.  I am an avid runner, triathlete and mother of two wonderful kids.  I strive to be the best person I can be and want to help others do the same for themselves.

Trina Starker

Trina is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Council on Strength and Fitness and certified by the Senior Fitness Association. Trina comes to us from Buffalo Hill Terrace, a large senior independent living facility, where she was the manager of the Fitness and Recreation department and the director of the Wellness Program. This experience gave her an appreciation for a wide array of ability levels and the importance of accommodating for them.

Trina started her career in 1991 coaching a high school dance team. It was a very rewarding experience that led to a lifelong love of teaching (and a state championship!) She went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences with an emphasis in psychology and went into elementary school teaching for several years. Her passion for education is reflected in her personal training sessions and classes, assisting her clients to obtain the knowledge they need to obtain their goals.

Trina’s experience of working with seniors has helped her develop her philosophies of training. Above all she believes training needs to be safe and productive. She puts an emphasis on making sure your program is appropriate for your ability level and that it is being properly executed to avoid injury. In order to make you successful she helps you find an exercise and nutrition plan that you enjoy and is effective for you; one size does not fit all.

Trina enjoys working with her clients as individuals and helping them find lifelong wellness through education and coaching.
