Dana Dobson

Certification: The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) - Personal Trainer and has earned her Certificate of Applied Science in personal training. She is also a spinning and group exercise instructor.
Dana's goal is to inspire others to achieve their own wellness goals and believes that improved fitness will increase all around self confidence and well being.


John Hoag

Certified personal trainer by The American Council on Exercise and former physical training leader U.S. Marine Corps.  Strengths are functional fitness, body composition management, program design, and plateau busting.  I believe in “Know thyself and seek self-improvement” in all areas of life.   My goal is for people to fall in love with fitness and to educate in the science of exercise as much as possible.

Kyle Kercher

Certifications: ACSM Exercise Physiologist, NSCA Strength & Conditioning Specialist, NASE Speed and Explosion Specialist – Level 2 & Health & Wellness Coach. Kyle found his way to beautiful Kalispell, Montana in 2010. Since then he’s developed Olympic weightlifting training programs and Competitive Edge – initially a comprehensive coaching service that gives student athletes the tools to develop, maximize, sustain, and be accountable to their individual behaviors. Competitive Edge has evolved to become a program for adult barbell training, youth athletic training, and student athlete wellness coaching. Additionally he performs various roles related to Journey to Wellness, Cardiac Rehab, Cardiopulmonary exercise testing, and athletic performance training. In December 2016 he’ll graduate with his Masters in Exercise Science with a concentration in Sport Psychology. Kyle has a passion for coaching motivated individuals of all ages to reach their full potential. Mary Knotts

Certifications: American Council on Exercise - Personal Trainer. Yoga Centre of Calgary, Alberta, Canada - Iyengar Yoga. Part-time Instructor FVCC - Yoga and Total Fitness for Women. Mary is a strong advocate of resistance training for women. "Health is wealth and fitness is good ‘life insurance'."


Kyler Blades

Kyler grew up in Whitefish playing baseball, basketball, and golf.  He graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology emphasizing Exercise Science along with a Business Administration minor.  He continued playing baseball through college and was co-captain his senior year.  Kyler is a Certified Personal Trainer through The ACSM and has experience coaching skills in both baseball and basketball.  His passion for youth athletics in The Flathead Valley has led him to become a part of the Competitive Edge program.  He looks forward to helping people of any age reach their fitness goals and improve their lives through exercise.

Angela Novak

Certifications: ACSM Personal Trainer, AFFA Group EX, AEA Aqua Ex, The Arthritis Foundation Land, Aqua and Walk With Ease, Lamond Cycling Instructor, Zumba licenses - Zumba 1 & 2, Aqua, Gold & Pro Skills.
I like to motivate, inspire & encourage people. I use the latest in fitness science to help my clients stay in top condition and be the best they can. In turn, they will have the energy to do more of what they want. Live, Love & Laugh!



Michaelann Lee

Certifications: A.C.S.M. Exercise Physiologist, A.C.S.M. Inclusive Fitness Instructor for people with disabilities, Kinesis Functional Fitness Instructor, TRX Instructor and LaMond Cycling Instructor and is a Certified Health & Wellness Coach. She also has a BA in Recreation Management and studied exercise/health science in a two year program at Lake Washington Institute of Technology in Kirkland, WA.   
Michaelann is the Program lead for The Summit's One2One Weight Management program. She has a passion for helping people achieve their optimal health and wellness goals!.  She's been in the wellness and fitness industry for over 14 years and founded and ran a wellness exercise rehabilitation center for people living with neurological disabilities in the Seattle area. Stu Levitt

Stu has a Doctorate in Applied Physiology and has years of experience training all types of individuals: from older folks to elite athletes.  He has a doctorate in exercise science and prepares personal trainers for certification and their future careers. He looks forward to bringing his knowledge to you and helping you achieve your own fitness and health goals.


Teckla Nemeroff

Certifications: American Council on Exercise - Personal Trainer. East Carolina University - Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. Experienced in orthopedic issues; medical conditions and healthy weight loss. "I enjoy helping people discover the fun in exercise. The body needs to be nourished physically, emotionally and spiritually."

Grey Ruegamer

Certifications: NASE, NASM CPT and PES, and USAW-1 and he's working towards a Masters’ Degree in Health and Wellness and a Wellcoach certification this fall. Grey was a professional football player for 11 years in the NFL.  He had the benefit of working with some of the best coaches and players in the game. These experiences have led him to the realm of coaching and assisting others in achieving their goals. He takes great pride in relaying experiences and learning new training techniques and strategies to enhance my coaching and teaching abilities. His career started at Arizona State University in 1994 that included numerous stops in the NFL with my last season ending in 2009 with the Seattle Seahawks. He spent the next 5 years coaching offensive line and strength and conditioning at the collegiate and high school levels. Erin Sabin

Certifications: ACE Personal Trainer, ACE Health Coach and Health & Wellness Coach trained. I have been lucky to live an active lifestyle finding joy in long distance backcountry running and adventuring, multiple skiing disciplines, whitewater kayaking, biking and fly fishing.  This has helped to create a passion for overall health and wellness.

Trina Starker


Trina is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Council on Strength and Fitness and certified by the Senior Fitness Association. Trina comes to us from Buffalo Hill Terrace, a large senior independent living facility, where she was the manager of the Fitness and Recreation department and the director of the Wellness Program. This experience gave her an appreciation for a wide array of ability levels and the importance of accommodating for them.

Trina started her career in 1991 coaching a high school dance team. It was a very rewarding experience that led to a lifelong love of teaching (and a state championship!) She went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences with an emphasis in psychology and went into elementary school teaching for several years. Her passion for education is reflected in her personal training sessions and classes, assisting her clients to obtain the knowledge they need to obtain their goals.

Trina’s experience of working with seniors has helped her develop her philosophies of training. Above all she believes training needs to be safe and productive. She puts an emphasis on making sure your program is appropriate for your ability level and that it is being properly executed to avoid injury. In order to make you successful she helps you find an exercise and nutrition plan that you enjoy and is effective for you; one size does not fit all.
