Join us each Saturday for a super workout at a super low price!
Improve technique and endurance with a challenging and fun coached workout! Get ready for your next triathlon or swimming competition. You should be able to swim 300 yards freestyle with rhythmic breathing before joining the class. Each session is four months long and includes stroke technique and drill work from the coach for one low price. Sign up at the front desk. We need a minimum of 12 swimmers.

A fun program for all swimmers. Try to swim around Flathead Lake by counting laps that you swim in the Summit pool. Swim 80 miles before the program ends and receive an official T-shirt. Chart your progress on a map of the lake posted in the pool area. 1 mile = 72 pool lengths (36 laps). Swim 233 lengths (117) laps per week to complete the program in 6 months. Payment is due on the second night of class after the student completes the pre-requisites on the first night.
This course is approximately 27-30 hrs long. Upon completion you will receive certification cards in CPR for the Professional Rescuer / AED, Lifeguard Training & Standard First Aid (2 yr.certifications). Maximum # of participants is 10. Classes typically meet on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

***Must be 15 yrs. old or older
***Swim 300 yards continuously, using these strokes in the following order (goggles OK).
--100 yd of front crawl using rhythmic breathing & a stabilizing/propellant kick. Rhythmic breathing may be done by breathing to the side or the front.
--100 yd of breaststroke.
--100 yd of either front crawl or breaststroke (or a mixture of the two strokes).
***Swim 20 yds. using front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive to 7 to 10 feet, retrieve a 10 lb. brick, return to the surface, take the brick back to start, place on the side of the pool and climb out within 1 minute & 40 seconds (NO goggles)
***Tread water for 2 minutes with legs ONLY.

KATS swim team practices at The Summit. Come and see what all the excitement is about! Kids who can swim a 25 freestyle and 25 back can join the swim team. Come see if the swim team is for you with 10 free trials! KATS is a year round competitive swimming program. KATS is a member of Montana Swimming and is governed by the USA swimming Organization. KATS is a non-profit organization and run by a volunteer board of directors. Board meetings are the third Wednesday of every month and are held at The Summit. These meetings are open to the general KATS membership. All KATS members must also be a member of The Summit. For Summit membership information, call 751-4107. Dues are listed on their website.

Practice your rolls and rescue skills during this Open Kayak time. Everyone must have a buddy with them while they practice. Kayaks must be cleaned before entering the pool area using the south entrance. Three lanes will be available. Come early to reserve your spot.

Lap Swim is for members 14 and older and non-members 18 and older. Please observe lap swim etiquette. If crowded, please swim a circle pattern and share the lane with other swimmers. Aqua Joggers, please stay to the outside lanes when crowded. Please see pool schedule for days and times.
Fun for the whole family, Open Swim is a great time for play. Children 6 and under must be directly supervised in the water by an adult who is within arms distance at all times. Please see pool schedule for days and times.
Enjoy swimming with your young children in a relaxing and fun atmosphere. Preschool open swim is for children 6 and under. All children must be accompanied in the water by an adult who is within arms distance at all times. An adult to child ratio of 1 adult to 1 or 2 children is required. Maximum capacity of the warm water pool is 20 people. Please see pool schedule for days and times.
Stretch Out time is for stretching, rehabilitation and water walking. This time is reserved for adults 18 and older. Please see pool schedule for days and times.
Come in for a fun, friendly game of water polo every Friday night. You should be able to tread water and swim comfortably in deep water. For ages 13 and older.
