All members will be “screened” upon entering the facility. COVID-19 screening will include temperature checks, questions related to possible symptoms, travel history, and known or suspected exposure to COVID-19. We asked that you do not come to the facility if you have any symptoms of illness. While Members will not be required to wear masks while working out, masks are encouraged and will be required when directly interacting with any employee of the facility. All Westshore staff will be wearing masks.
There will be no charges for the month of May. Billing for all membership accounts will resume June 1, 2020.
If you are NOT interested in accessing Westshore Fitness during this Phase of our reopening or would like to make changes to your account, please review the following options.
Please note, all requests for cancellations, freezes, and changes must be submitted before Thursday June 25, 5:00 PM
. All freezes and cancellation requests can be made online
Suspend your membership for up to 12 months at no charge if you or your health-care provider are concerned about potential exposure. Medical Freezes submitted before June 25, 2020 will not require a health care provider's signature. Any medical freeze request submitted after June 25, 2020 will require your health care's authorization for any concern/medical issue related to COVID-19. When the crisis is over and you feel comfortable participating in Westshore Fitness programming once again, simply have your health care provider submit a medical release and we will reactivate your account; no hassle, no charge.
: Make a change to your account by dropping family members who may not be able or prefer not to access the facility during this time. Sometimes this can translate into serious savings and provide your family members with the flexibility to re-join at any time. We are temporarily waiving the $10 fee for any account changes made before July 1, 2020.
COVID-19 Extended Vacation Freeze:
Temporarily suspend your account for an additional 1-2 months at no charge. This option provides both you and Westshore Fitness some additional time to transition through the different stages and changes. At the end of this freeze, billing will resume automatically. This option provides you some time and breathing room to either resume or cancel your membership. Requests submitted before June 25, 2020 will be eligible for two free months of vacation (July and August); requests submitted between June 25 and July 28th will be eligible for one free month (August).
If you find that none of our freeze options are a good fit for you at this time, we understand and respect your decision. Please keep in mind should you opt to cancel instead of freeze your membership, you may be asked to pay a new registration fee should you decide to rejoin us at a later date.
We look forward to seeing all of you soon!
COVID-19 Closure & Member Information
Member and community safety are our top priority. Social distancing is a key tool in our effort to reduce transmission of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Therefore, effective Monday, March 16, 2020 and until further notice, we will be closing these locations:
- Summit Medical Fitness Center
- The Westshore Medical Fitness Center
- Polson Medical Fitness Center
In order to answer specific questions and concerns about COVID-19 and how it will affect our members and guests, we will be updating this page as the situation evolves. As we are all well aware, the situation remains incredibly fluid and will most likely undergo many changes. Rest assured, we are working hard to take care of our members and will always strive to do the right thing!
If you have any questions not addressed below, please email us at . We do have staff who will remain available to help answer your questions and we would love the opportunity to serve you.
How will this affect my billing?
I want to cancel my membership. What are my options?
- As a result of the Summit’s recent closure, all member billing will be suspended until further notice and March dues will be prorated.
- Credit adjustments for March will be posted to all member accounts and will be applied to future billing once the Summit reopens.
- Members that have paid for a year in advance will receive an extension on their membership once the facility is back in operation.
- We understand that exercise and welllness are critical parts of staying healthy, and we all will be missing the Summit during this time. That being said, the Summit offers quite a few different ways for you to freeze your account rather than canceling. Please email us at email@example.com with your concerns, and a representative will follow up with our best recommendation for your particular situation.
