Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Suicide Prevention

North Valley Behavioral Health desires to add the service of TMS to it’s toolbelt for treating depression in adults. TMS is a therapy that is non-invasive and has minimal side effects.  It is proven to be very effective in treating depression, however the treatment is a course of 20 minutes sessions, 5 days a week for 4-6 weeks. We need this therapy provided locally! As part of this campaign, we are collaborating with the Nate Chute Foundation to raise funds to expand their programs and services for suicide prevention, training and awareness. The recent Community Health Needs Assessment identified suicide as one of the biggest problems in our community. The suicide rate in Flathead County is twice that of the national average and three times so in adolescents. Funds raised will help purchase and install the TMS equipment and will help fund expansion of programs and services by the Nate Chute Foundation over the next 2 years.
Goal of $150,000
