NVH Foundation Patient and Family

Emergency and Education Departments Equipment

NVH Emergency Department has needs to replace critical aged equipment used for the assessment of the eyes, as well as replacing stretchers.  This equipment replacement was not able to be funded by the current capital budget of NVH, so the Foundation has agreed to raise funds for this need.  An application has been submitted to the Whitefish Community Foundation Great Fish Challenge for 2020. This campaign will kick off in July and run through September 2020.  Watch for more information and a link to the site where you can give online.

Goal of $45,000

Behavioral Health Fund

Providing resources to Behavioral Health initiatives throughout northwest Montana is important to the NVH Foundation Board of Directors.  Mental health, suicide prevention and access to mental health are all key goals in the recent Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). In 2019, the foundation raised funds to add Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) to its toolbelt for treating severe depression in adults. TMS is a therapy that is non-invasive and has minimal side effects.  We also collaborated with the Nate Chute Foundation to raise funds to expand their programs and services for suicide prevention, training and awareness through 2023.

The focus of our attention now turns to making sure as many adults suffering from severe depression can receive TMS and other services they need.  We serve patients that are uninsured, or have Medicaid coverage, which unfortunately does not cover TMS at this point in time. We are raising funds to ensure that this population has access to TMS treatment, if they qualify financially for assistance.

This fund would also be available for our Behavioral Health departments to fund important initiatives that are in line with the mission of NVH and the needs of the community.

Goal of $150,000
