Located at 2012 14th Street SW – in the Great Falls Marketplace, the satellite location will be open Monday through Friday and will offer appointments for pediatric patients needing specialty care in the areas of gastroenterology, neurology, hematology/oncology and endocrinology/diabetes, neurosurgery, and surgery to start with other pediatric specialties available as needed. Specialists staffing the clinic beginning include:
- Thomas E. Flass, MD, Pediatric Gastroenterology
- Daniel Lustig, MD, Pediatric Gastroenterology
- Marcus Wheeler, MD, Pediatric Neurology
- Alan Rice, MD, Pediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes
- Carrie Laborde, MD, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
- Kimberly Longcake, MD, Pediatric Gastroenterology
- Kelly Schmidt, MD, Pediatric Neurosurgery
- Federico Seifarth, MD, Pediatric Surgery
Additionally, the office will be equipped with technology enabling access to providers through telemedicine, a secure, two-way, real-time video communications system.
“It’s important that patients have access to pediatric sub-specialty care in their own communities,” said Jason Spring, Kalispell Regional Healthcare (KRH) Chief Strategic Officer, “We want to keep patients close to home.”
With more than 30 pediatric specialty providers, a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and many other specialized children’s health programs, KRH has become the center of a growing collection of pediatric services. Since pediatric specialty services became available at KRH in 2015, more than 5,000 Montana children have received specialty care locally, rather than traveling elsewhere.
“We’re pleased to extend our pediatric sub-specialty services to children in Great Falls,” said Spring. “All of Montana’s families deserve to have local access to skilled specialists and not suffer the burden and expense of traveling for care.”
