Meet the new Tyke Town child care coordinator
Wendy Gorman joined The Summit team last Spring as the new Tyke Town child care coordinator and is very excited to be a part of the team. Wendy is a local from Kalispell and brings a variety of experience with children. She has worked as a live-in nanny, is raising five children of her own, and has operated an in-home daycare for more than 13 years. Watching children learn and grow during their early years is truly the most fulfilling aspect of Wend's work. In her spare time, she enjoys relaxing at her cabin with family and friends, painting pallet signs and spending time with her granddaughter.
Wendy’s motto is, “Every day is a blessing. Stay positive and be kind.”
About Tyke Town
Tyke Town is a drop-in child care facility for children ages 8 weeks - 9 years. Tyke Town programs are based on age appropriate activities that motivate and encourage children to be more physically active and promote healthy habits. Activities include story time, arts, crafts, music and movement. Members and non-members can drop-off their children for up to three hours a day while they workout at the Summit. As an extra member benefit, members can go offsite between the hours of 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and leave their children with us.
In the afternoon from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m., we offer a Kinder Kare program that provides after school care for Kindergarteners ages five to six years old. The Kinder Kare program provides supervised activities in the area of health, fitness, literacy, play and much more.
