KRH Plant Operation leaders recognized with the U.S. Army's Patriot Award
KRH Plant Operations leaders Chad Wermer and Kyle Hovey were recent recipients of the U.S. Army's Patriot Award.
The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed.
"Military obligations can be unpredictable, and Chad and Kyle have been very accommodating with adjusting work schedules to support us," said Alexander Johnson, who currently serves in the U.S. Army Reserves and recently nominated Chad and Kyle for the award. "They demonstrate service and excellence to our community and country through their continued support of me and of fellow Plant Operations staff member Eugene Jordan, who serves in the U.S. Army National Guard."
The Montana Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (MT ESGR) works throughout the Big Sky Country to gain and maintain employer support for the Guard and Reserve by recognizing outstanding support and striving to develop and promote a culture in which Montana employers support and value the military service of their employees. Appreciation for civilian employers is promoted among the Guard and Reserve with nominations for special Department of Defense awards, including the Patriot Award.
