Home Options offers free bereavement support groups this fall

This fall, Home Options Hospice is offering a four-week bereavement support group sessions. The group is free of charge and meant to serve adults who are grieving the loss of a loved one and seek encouragement through their grief journey. The group will meet once a week over a four-week period, with each meeting building upon the last. These confidential sessions are guided by Home Options’ experienced social workers.

Included in these sessions is an introduction to expressing grief through art—creating artwork following a deep loss can be therapeutic, helping to express and release painful, stressful emotions. No “artsy skills” are needed as the value of healing artwork is in the doing, not the final product; the benefit is in the creating.
