Our Respiratory Care staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide patients at Kalispell Regional Medical Center with all aspect of respiratory care, from ventilator management to breathing treatments.
Our therapists serve on the lifesaving response team that helps people who come to the emergency room with breathing difficulties as a result of injury or cardiac or respiratory arrest, as well as hospital patients who need CPR. Breathing assistance includes ventilators in the intensive care unit and equipment that provides continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) or Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure (BPAP). We offer intrapulmonary percussive ventilation, an internal alternative to chest physical therapy to help clear the lungs. Among other services, we administer oxygen and medications, provide pulmonary function testing and analyze blood gasses.
