Coaching athletes inevitably involves an element of liability. Save the Brain provides no-charge training and resources for coaches and coaching staff to provide up-to-date recommendations on concussion management.

In Montana the Dylan Steigers Protection of Youth Athletes Act requires each school district in the state that offers organized youth athletic activities to adopt policies and procedures to inform athletic trainers, coaches, officials, youth athletes and parents/guardians about the nature and risk of brain injuries. This information must be consistent with current medical knowledge and guidelines. School districts also must ensure that each coach, athletic trainer and official participating in organized youth athletic activities completes a concussion training program at least once per year.

Maintaining a program and materials that remain up-to-date with current medical knowledge and guidelines is a priority for Save the Brain. Please contact Save the Brain to request concussion management training for yourself, your team, school or staff.
