Helping patients get back to the business of living is one of the most rewarding aspects of our work at KRMC. We’re here to put you on the road to a full recovery. Our cardiac recovery programs are operated within The Summit Medical Fitness Center, just across the street from the hospital. The Summit offers modern programming and technology in a wonderful atmosphere.
Cardiac rehabilitation provides monitored exercise and risk factor management for individuals recovering from a heart attack, heart surgery, heart transplant, valve surgery, stable angina or a catheterization procedure.
The program is coordinated by a team of nurses, exercise physiologists and registered dietitians. Cardiac rehabilitation promotes daily exercise, a balanced diet, risk factor reduction and stress management. Care is individualized based on diagnosis, medications, current physical status and the physician's recommendations. All education classes are held in a Summit conference room and are free.
