W. Dale Prophet, MD, began practicing at Rocky Mountain Heart & Lung in August 2016 and brings his experience as a lung specialist to Kalispell Regional Healthcare. Dr. Prophet attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and received his medical degree (cum laude) from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, where he also completed his fellowship in pulmonary medicine. He is an esteemed fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and a longtime member of the American Thoracic Society. As a member of the Wilderness Medical Society and with a passion for critical care, Dr. Prophet is at home in the wilderness or backcountry environments. Clearly, working and playing in "the last best place" is a great match in terms of his skills and personal interests. As a traveling provider for KRH, he cares for patients in Polson, Eureka, Plains and Anaconda. When Dr. Prophet is not at the office, you can find him taking full advantage of Montana’s outdoor treasures as he enjoys hiking, backpacking, fishing, hunting and horseback riding.
