Richard Taylor, MD, joined Northwest Women’s Healthcare in 2000 and is a member of Kalispell Regional Medical Center’s active medical staff. The son of a general surgeon in a small town in southern Alberta, Canada, he carries with him a lifelong love for medicine. Dr. Taylor earned his medical degree from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City in 1980, and completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at the Maricopa County Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He began professional practice as chief of laser surgery for Alta View Hospital in Salt Lake City, and has continued an intense focus on improving and pioneering new techniques in minimally invasive endoscopy throughout his career. His endometrial ablation procedure was nominated for an international Golden Hysteroscope Award and results were published in the Proceedings of the World Congress of Hysteroscopy. As with his partner, Dr. Robert Rogers, he specializes in da Vinci robotic surgeries, improving outcomes and shortening recovery times for patients. Dr. Taylor and his wife, Deanne, have four grown children. The family enjoys snow skiing, water skiing, fishing, hiking, reading and travel.
