Dr. Robbins was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. She obtained her bachelor's degree in exercise physiology and her doctor of medicine from the University of Utah. Dr. Robbins went to medical school in anticipation of becoming a pediatrician only to be charmed by the surgeons she worked with and subsequently jumped ship. She has an interest in medical education, trauma and critical care. In her spare time, Dr. Robbins enjoys road biking, hiking, yoga and watching the West Wing. She is married to her neurologist husband who will be staying in Utah to complete his training in stroke medicine. She has two fur babies back in Utah including one cat who really thinks he is a dog.
Dr. Robbins is a resident physician for 2019-2020 as part of a rural surgery education collaboration with University of Utah's general surgery residency.
