Patricia Tygrett, DO
Patricia Tygrett, DO, joined the active staff of Kalispell Regional Medical Center and The HealthCenter in August 2013. She practices at Pondera Medical Center in Conrad, where she draws on her varied medical experiences to serve patients in rural Montana. As a registered nurse for 20 years, she was well grounded in the medical field upon entering medical school. She earned her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee, and her master of science in nursing from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. Dr. Tygrett completed her medical studies at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia, and carried out her osteopathic rotating internship with Northlake Regional Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia. She owned Calhoun Family Care Center, a solo practice in Calhoun, Georgia, for five years, and then was employed for the next 10 years in a multiple-practitioner family medicine office owned by the local hospitals in Calhoun and Rome, Georgia. Before joining Kalispell Regional Healthcare, she was a partner in the Northwest Georgia Medical Group in Calhoun and then worked as a locum tenens family physician based in Savannah, Georgia. She and her husband, Phil Sue, a retired teacher, live near Polebridge from spring through autumn. They enjoy rafting, canoeing, tubing, backpacking, camping and gardening. Her daughters and their husbands – Kristy and Rob Alm and Kaye and Garry Dieter – live in the Flathead Valley year-round.
