Orthopedic surgeon Kurt Thorderson, MD, joined Northwest Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in January 2006, and has been a member of the active medical staff at Kalispell Regional Medical Center and The HealthCenter ever since. He has a keen interest in correcting orthopedic issues of the hand for patients throughout the Northwest Montana region. Dr. Thorderson completed his medical studies at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He carried out both his internship and orthopedic residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, fulfilling the duties of chief resident during the latter. He then was awarded a fellowship through the Indiana Hand Center in Indianapolis, and cared for patients through four Indianapolis-area hospitals. He began practicing with Associated Orthopedic Specialties in Austin, Texas, then joined the staff at the North Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Clinic in Tupelo before relocating to Kalispell in 2006. Dr. Thorderson and his wife have two children.
