Nurse Practitioner Michelle Boltz, M.NURS, NP-C, ARNP, joined the Kalispell Regional Medical Center Hospitalist Program in April 2015, and in September 2015 began practicing at the Cabinet Peaks Medical Center in Libby, Montana. She earned her bachelor of science in nursing from Washington State University Intercollegiate College of Nursing in Spokane, then went on to complete her master of nursing degree as a family nurse practitioner through the same school. During the final year of her master’s program she worked as a charge nurse at Bonner General Hospital in Sandpoint, Idaho, and a teaching assistant and clinical instructor of ethics and physical assessment for the university. Michelle began her professional practice as a medical staff member of the Noorvik Clinic, Maniilaq Association in Noorvik, Alaska, and then in Kotzebue, Alaska. She accepted a position as a medical staff member with the Center for Asbestos Related Disease in Libby, Montana, in February 2001, where she remained until beginning her hospitalist duties in Kalispell. She has volunteered for a wide range of medical and community endeavors, including more than 400 hours of basic nursing care with Mother Teresa’s mission in Kalighat Calcutta, India. In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending time with four generations of family that have made Libby, Montana, their home.
