Dr. Michael Goodman moved to the Flathead Valley in 1996. He founded Glacier Oncology in Kalispell the following year, where he has practiced medical oncology ever since. He is a graduate of Yale University, and received his medical education at the University of California, San Francisco. After completing his internship and residency training, he entered a postdoctoral fellowship in research immunology at the Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, California. Upon its completion, he joined the research faculty and ultimately became a tenured member of the department of immunology. He subsequently completed a fellowship in medical oncology, also at the Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation. He received the U.S. Public Health Service’s National Research Award, a fellowship from the Arthritis Foundation, a U.S. PHS Research Career Development Award and multiple USPHS research grants spanning many years. He has served on grant peer review committees for the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation and the World Health Organization. Dr. Goodman is board certified in medical oncology and internal medicine. He especially values the opportunity to care for the men and women of the Flathead Valley.
