Lynn Troy, naturopathic physician, joined Northwest Oncology and Hematology at Kalispell Regional Healthcare in January 2011. She earned her doctorate in naturopathic medicine at Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, graduating in 2004. Dr. Troy’s role at Northwest Oncology and Hematology is to guide cancer patients to use nutrition and herbal medicine to support their health during cancer treatment. This includes help managing side effects of treatment, boosting the body’s immune system, supporting normal metabolism, and identifying and treating nutritional deficiencies. She also counsels patients on cancer recurrence prevention and long-term health maintenance. Her undergraduate degree was a Bachelor of Science in forestry at the University of Montana. During her forestry studies she became intrigued with botany and the study of medicinal plants. This interest led her to pursue her education as a naturopath. Dr. Troy is licensed by the State of Montana and a member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Originally from Butte, she loves living in Montana and is happy to be able to pursue her career goals in her home state. She has lived in the Flathead Valley for the past 10 years. She has two sons; her husband, from Bainbridge Island, Washington, is a licensed social worker. As a family, they enjoy soccer, cycling, skiing and camping.
