Dr. Kelly Schmidt joined the Kalispell Regional Healthcare active medical staff in July 2017. She is a pediatric neurosurgeon practicing at Montana Children’s Specialists, a department of Kalispell Regional Medical Center. She is also part of Montana Children’s and its team of more than 40 pediatric specialists. Dr. Schmidt earned her medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, and subsequently completed her residency and fellowship trainings at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. With a growing pediatric program at KRH, Dr. Schmidt is a leader in developing the pediatric neurosurgery services to help care for our youngest patients in northwest Montana. With a background and interest in traumatic brain injuries, Dr. Schmidt will also lend her expertise to the Save the Brain program, which helps educate teachers, parents, coaches and student athletes about concussion prevention. When Dr. Schmidt is not in the office she enjoys skiing, playing soccer, and Denver Broncos football.
