Born and raised in Ohio, she attended The Ohio State University for her bachelor of science in nursing degree. Upon graduation she moved to Denver and took a nursing position at University of Colorado Hospital. Since graduation she has worked as a family nurse practitioner in various regions of the country including Montana, Minnesota, and Ohio. She enjoys partnering with patients in helping them reach their health goals. She is passionate in pursuing the root causes of illnesses as they relate to the dynamic interplay of genetic and environmental influences. Karen returns to Montana with her husband and young son, excited to be back in Big Sky country. In her free time she enjoys running, exploring, and eating good food.
