Julie Cook, APRN, CFNP-BC, received her undergraduate nursing degree through the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1991. She spent the next eight years working in cardiac care and intensive care nursing. Julie then received her master’s in nursing from Montana State University in 1999 and gained certification as a family nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center shortly thereafter. Her background includes working in a family practice setting, where she was able to care for a wide spectrum of patients and became comfortable with care of the whole family. During this time she discovered a desire to provide more comprehensive women’s health care. As a family nurse practitioner, Julie believes in a holistic approach to health care. She believes that preventing illness and promoting wellness are crucial to improving health. With each patient, she provides education and establishes a partnership with the common goal of recovery and wellness. Julie and her husband, Jake, have two beautiful girls who are a great source of entertainment and energy. Julie is deeply committed to both her career and her family.
