Physician assistant Joshua Williford joined the Neurological Surgery department of the Neuroscience and Spine Institute in June 2015. He received a bachelor of arts in history from Texas A&M University in 1997 and went on to attend the University of North Texas Health Science Center in the first physician assistant class, graduating in 1999. He worked briefly in orthopedic surgery and started a career in neurosurgery in 2001. He has worked in neurosurgery for 14 years in Texas and Illinois, until moving to Montana in 2015. He is experienced in all aspects of neurosurgery including pediatrics, trauma and spine surgery. He enjoys the variety of illnesses treated in neurosurgery and the complexity of the specialty in general. After moving to the Flathead Valley, Josh’s wife, Jennie, took a job as a yoga instructor at a local studio. When they are not working, they enjoy camping, hiking and fly fishing. They are thrilled at the prospect of all the outdoor opportunities in northwest Montana.
