Cardiac electrophysiologist Jonathan (Matt) Brunson, MD, began practicing at Rocky Mountain Heart & Lung in September 2015, and joined the active medical staff at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. He provides care for patients with heart-rhythm conditions, offering minimally invasive solutions to provide a potential cure for such diseases. Dr. Brunson received a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas, graduating magna cum laude. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and then accepted appointment to two fellowships. The first was in cardiovascular disease, carried out at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. In the second, he specialized in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Baylor University Medical Center. When away from the office, Dr. Brunson enjoys hiking, fishing, scuba diving, hunting, and traveling.
