Urologist Geraldine Sheu, MD, joined the practice of Urology Associates in October 2015 and became a member of the active medical staff at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. She completed an undergraduate double major in both biochemistry and anthropology at Rice University in Houston, Texas. During her time there, she studied internationally at both Kyushu University in Kyushu, Japan, and Copenhagen University in Copenhagen, Denmark, where she studied international medical practice and policy. Dr. Sheu then earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She completed training in urologic surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, with a focus on traditional open and endoscopic surgery. She also trained at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, with an expanded concentration on Da Vinci robotic and laparoscopic surgery. Additionally, she authored papers and a book chapter on topics ranging from urologic trauma to male infertility.
Dr. Sheu is fluent in French, Mandarin and Taiwanese. She loves swimming, skiing, hiking, sports, cooking and traveling. She also loves to scuba dive and completed one of her many bucket-list activities last year in South Africa by cage-diving with great white sharks.
Most important, Dr. Sheu believes in compassionate patient-centered health care and is keen to personally help each individual navigate through his or her medical journey, understanding from personal experience that it can be one of the most difficult times of a person’s life. She is thrilled to be part of the big sky community.
