Physician assistant Amy Tangedahl began seeing patients with the Neuroscience & Spine Institute’s Department of Neurological Surgery in March 2013. Amy earned her bachelor of science with a medical emphasis from Southern Oregon University in Ashland, and her Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies from Idaho State University in Pocatello. She came to Kalispell Regional Healthcare from the NeuroSpine Institute, a busy neurosurgical clinic in Eugene, Oregon, where she had been practicing for the prior four years. Her duties there included assisting in neurosurgical procedures at both an outpatient ambulatory surgery center and an inpatient hospital. Over the years, she served in medical missions to Peru and Honduras. Amy is licensed through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and has professional affiliations with the American Academy of Physician Assistants, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and Wilderness Medical Society. As a Missoula native, Amy is a Montana Grizzly fan at heart, and enjoys skiing, hiking, backpacking, whitewater rafting and hunting.
