Pediatric endocrinologist Alan Rice, MD, sees patients at the Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes Center and specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents with diabetes; pubertal, height and weight concerns; and thyroid, pituitary, bone metabolism, adrenal and other endocrine disorders. Dr. Rice earned his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Florida. He then completed a family medicine internship year at the University of Missouri-Columbia before completing a pediatric residency at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. After completing a pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, Dr. Rice held clinical academic positions at Duke University, the University of Nevada–Reno, Texas Tech University, Augusta University and Mercer University. His home practice is in Kalispell; however, Dr. Rice also sees patients at outreach clinics in Polson, Missoula, Anaconda, Bozeman, Helena and Great Falls.
