Pediatric endocrinologist Alan Rice, MD, specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents with diabetes; pubertal, height and weight concerns; and thyroid, pituitary, bone metabolism, adrenal and other endocrine disorders. Dr. Rice practices at Montana Children’s Specialists, a department of Kalispell Regional Medical Center. He is also part of Montana Children’s and its team of more than 40 pediatric specialists. Dr. Rice earned his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Florida. He then completed a family medicine internship year at the University of Missouri-Columbia before completing a pediatric residency at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. After completing a pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, Dr. Rice held clinical academic positions at Duke University, the University of Nevada– Reno, Texas Tech University, Augusta University and Mercer University.
