At Kalispell Regional Healthcare our pediatric patients have access to advanced care in Kalispell Regional Medical Center's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and pediatric unit, as well as a full range of additional services including pediatric therapy and spiritual care. Hospital Services

Birthing Center
At Kalispell Regional Medical Center, we know that pregnancy, childbirth and parenting are some of the most intense, exciting and personal experiences of your lifetime. Our Birthing Center staff is dedicated to making every step of the birth process a memorable and positive one for you and your family.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, or NICU, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center provides care to newborns and infants with conditions requiring advanced medical treatment. Our two full-time board-certified neonatologists provide comprehensive care for critically ill premature and full-term infants. Kalispell Regional Medical Center is also equipped to transport newborns from outlying facilities and bring them to Kalispell for care. The specially trained transport team is available to transport by helicopter, airplane or ambulance at any time of the day or night.

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, or PICU, is where we care for children and adolescents who are acutely ill or injured. The pediatric unit, which includes the PICU, provides care for children from birth through age 18. Each room in the unit can accommodate children needing either general medical patient care or more intensive care.

Depending on their needs, pediatric patients at Kalispell Regional Medical Center receive care from a variety of professional support staff, including:

  • Nutritionists and dietitians
  • Chaplains

Pediatric Therapy

Outpatient pediatric therapy is offered at The Summit in a large treatment facility with a warm therapy pool, private treatment rooms, and child-appropriate educational toys and equipment.

Our bright, positive atmosphere welcomes family involvement. Kalispell Regional Healthcare's licensed therapists will work with you and your child, caregivers, teachers and day care providers to set goals and develop individual treatment plans for each child.

Spiritual Care

At Kalispell Regional Medical Center, we recognize that spiritual care is an important part of the healing process. Our full-time staff chaplain is an ordained minister and has completed training specific to hospital chaplaincy.

Patients and family members can request a visit from a chaplain at any time during their stay in the hospital. Call (406) 752-1776 to contact the chaplain.
