Kalispell Regional Healthcare seeks to contribute to the education of students and other trainees by maintaining a student affiliation/observer/non-employee training program committed to providing quality learning and training experiences.

Program Descriptions

Student Program: A formal program of study in which the student is currently enrolled and is seeking a clinical rotation, clerkship or externship experience at any Kalispell Regional Healthcare System (KRHS) facility.  An affiliation agreement with the school is required.

Observer: An observer is a person who is in the facility to shadow a specific person(s). The observer will have no direct physical contact with the patient, nor would he/she, in any way, direct or participate in the treatment of the patient. This person is in the organization to observe only.

Non-employee training program: A non-employee is a person employed by another facility i.e., hospital or physician’s clinic, seeking practical experience or training at KRH. We support a hands-on program and an observer program. Please choose the appropriate link below for your training experience.
         
HANDS-ON Non-employee training program: A non-employee is a person employed by another facility i.e., hospital or physician’s clinic, seeking practical experience or training at KRH and will be involved in the treatment of patients under the supervision of KRH staff.

OBSERVER Non-employee training program: A non-employee observer is a person employed by another facility i.e., hospital or physician’s clinic, seeking observational experience and is in the facility to shadow a specific person(s). The observer will have no direct physical contact with the patient, nor would he/she, in any way, direct or participate in the treatment of the patient. This person is in the organization to observe only.

The Student department office hours are 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday.  The department is normally closed for national holidays.

The Student Affiliations department office is located on the second floor of the Administrative Office Tower, room number 225.
