Save a Sister
The Save a Sister
initiative is a collaboration among Kalispell Regional Healthcare, North Valley Hospital and the Flathead City-County Health Department, with a mission to lessen the impact of breast cancer in our community. The initiative's goals are to improve women's access to screening mammography, educate the community, and promote breast cancer awareness and prevention through outreach activities. Save a Sister also supports postoperative durable goods that often are not paid for by insurance. All funds stay in the local area.
Kalispell Regional Medical Center’s Mobile Mammography Coach
reaches women who are unable to come to the on-site imaging center. The mobile unit is helping eliminate barriers by making it faster and more convenient for women in rural Montana to have a screening mammogram, the key to lifesaving early detection of breast cancer. Yearly mammograms are covered by Medicare and most insurance companies.
