Celebrate our local EMS teams

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provide out of hospital care for people with emergent illnesses or injuries. In 1974, President Gerald Ford authorized EMS Week (May 20-26) to celebrate EMS practitioners and the important work they do in our nation's communities. EMS professionals work tirelessly to safeguard the health, safety and wellbeing of their communities.

Hospital staffs work closely with the Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and paramedics on every ambulance crew. Having a positive, high-functioning working relationship is critical, and in our entire service area, we are lucky to have a wonderful partnership with all of our EMS teams.

EMS Week brings together local communities and medical personnel to honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine's "front line." National EMS Week is the perfect time to thank our local EMS teams for the incredible work they do to support our communities.
